Asheville Prison Books is a 100% volunteer organization that sends books from a donated library to incarcerated persons who write to us. We serve state and federal penitentiaries, jails, and civil commitment facilities in the Carolinas. Every dollar that is donated goes towards the project, over 95% of which is the cost of mailing.
