La Cocina de Mama / Mama’s Kitchen by BeLoved Asheville is a donation based food truck curated to help fight hunger in our community.  They will be serving tacos and smiles.

We are so excited to announce a new innovative solution rolling into food deserts and cooking up healthy meals to end food insecurity.  In a community labeled, “Foodtopia,” hunger stalks the streets and neighborhoods.  In a community known for its amazing restaurants and farms, we are still on of the most food insecure places in the country!  We are working to change all that with this exciting new project!

We are pleased to introduce “La Cocina de Mama/Mama’s Kitchen” Food Truck!!

And even as we are serving up an end to hunger, we are creating a space where people can celebrate and pass cultural culinary traditions to the next generations! We will be hosting educational classes right in the neighborhood! We’ll provide kid friendly chef’s kits to kids who participate in the classes. Mama’s Kitchen on wheels gives children a chance to learn from adults and pass down to their children just as the many generations before have done. We’ll roll directly into BIPOC and low wealth communities where folks can learn with their families and peers. La Cocina de Mama gives people a chance to keep their cultural traditions alive!
